Offshore Coordinator (Based onshore in Gelderland/Dubai)

About this function

As an Offshore Coordinator you are part of the platform team of the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) grid connections. The platform team is partly located in Gelderland, The Netherlands and partly located on the platform contractor’s topside and jacket fabrication sites in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this role you are responsible for coordinating offshore surveillance of the contractor’s progress and performance relative to employer requirements, agreed plan and procedures, applicable norms and standards. You will report to the Netherlands based T&I Manager Platform HKZ.

Your activities will include:
1. Focal point for Offshore Team, stakeholders and Contractors for scheduling offshore inspections with Main Contractor;
2. Make necessary arrangements for effective offshore logistic arrangements for goods and personnel in close cooperation with responsible Main Contractor;
3. Ensure proper certification of personnel in line with requirements;
4. Ensure availability for proper PPE for team members;
5. Review contractor procedures against Employer Requirements, Permit Requirements, applicable norms and standards;
6. Assist the team in keeping track of Contractor sail away readiness in line with Employer requirements;
7. In consultation with offshore and site team, keep track of progress and schedule of offshore activities;
8. Occasional offshore visits to align with teams.

Candidate profile:
• You have experience (5 years +) in offshore operations, preferably offshore wind;
• You are able to contribute to a cooperative environment between all parties involved, mitigate stress and animosity, and escalate persisting problems to Project Management;
• You have knowledge about standards and norms applicable for offshore wind platform fabrication and installation;
• You have experience in and successes with working within multi-national teams offshore;
• You are able to work and perform independently;
• You have good communication and reporting skills and are able to organize and schedule activities well;
• You have a strong work delivery ethic;
• You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Dutch is a preference.
